Depending on the number of travellers in the group, this tour departs from Istanbul in a private car, van, minibus, or bus. This is a 2 days long private tour.
DAY 1 Anzacs and the Battlefield of Gallipolli
After an early breakfast, our journey from Istanbul to Dardanelles will take 4 hours to Çanakkale City across the newly built Çanakkale 1915 Memorial Bridge. After a local lunch in Çanakkale City, we will reach the honoured war field of Gallipolli. This glorious battlefield is associated with the naval and field battle that took place on March 18, 1915. Our journey in this glorious heritage commences with Anzac Cove, the War Cemeteries featuring the Beach Cemetery, Quinn’s Post, and The Nek), the Anzac Memorials (Lone Pine — Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair — New Zealand Memorial and Hellespont — English Memorial. This heritage is full of mourning stories of the soldiers who lost their lives and the laments you may hear will burst you into tears. After this emotional journey, we will reach our hotel and dinner will be served late at dusk. Overnight at the hotel in Canakkale City.
DAY 2 Troy and The Ancient Site
After having our breakfast in Çanakkale, we will set out for the historic city of Troy, made famous by the story of the Trojan Horse and the love story between the Spartan queen Helen and her Trojan suitor, Paris. Homer immortalized Truva (Troy) in the stories of King Priam, Hector, Paris and the beautiful Helen. Archaeological excavations have revealed nine separate periods of settlement and the ruins of city walls, house foundations, a temple and a theatre. A symbolic wooden Trojan horse commemorates the legendary war. The ancient harbour of Alexandria-Troas was built in the 3rd century B.C. St. Paul visited here twice, and on his third missionary journey, he continued from here to Assos. Now it’s your turn to make your final day the most memorable. After the tour, we will be returning to Istanbul and on the way to the city we will stop for dinner on our way, and we got back to Istanbul pretty late.
