We are now passing across the Bosphorus bridge. 64 meters above the Bosphorus channel. We will be in Asia soon. Bosphorus has an interesting mythological story. Io was a secret lover of Zeus. One day while they were making love in the sky Hera found out something was happening there. She rushed there furiously and as she approached Zeus understood hiw wife was coming and covered the place with a cloud.
But Hera realized the cloud was hiding something. So blew up the cloud in which moment Zeus transformed the beautiful Io in a cow and pretended nothing was wrong there. But Hera knew this was a trick and in order to revenge Io she sent some deadly insects to disturb poor cow.
Io who was so disturbed started to run, she run all the way to the north. While passing from the Aegean part of Turkey she left her name there.
“Ionia” She continued towards the north and when she passed through here to continue towards the Black Sea. After which time people called this strait the passage of cow, “Bosphorus”
