Local Tastes of Istanbul Half Day Culinary and History Walking Tour is a breakfast and lunch sampling historic – walking tour with a professional local tour guide. It starts at 9 am in the morning and ends at 14:30.

Flavour and history meet on this tour. Immerse yourself in the local culture, which you’ll fall in love with. We will gather at the famous Güllüolu Baklavacı, in the Karaköy district, one of the oldest districts of Istanbul. We will have a very special and typical breakfast in one of the local cafes in Karaköy. This will be a real treat, we must say. Come on, try it. Sailing to Kadıköy by ferry will sort your senses as we will be arriving in ancient Chalcedon, the site of the Ecumenical Council that settled religious disputes in 451 AD. This would be a cultural exploration of the Asian side of the city on your culinary journey today.

Once we arrive, we will explore various taste spots in Kadıköy. We will continue our experience with the Fancy Fish Market and authentic Turkish food here in Kadiköy. Traditional desserts and pastries, such as pudding and baklava, are on the menu. Well, want to try Nirvana food? Stuffed mussels, ale-washed fried mussels, and homemade tartar sauce? How about chicken dessert? Yes, you read correctly; we are talking about the dessert with chicken in its recipe. Weird? How about grilled sheep intestines on a charcoal grill? Maybe tripe soup?
