This tour takes you on a boat trip to the Prince’s Islands in the Marmara Sea, stopping at Buyukada. This is the largest of the nine islands and for the first half of the 20th century was the playground of wealthy Turks, Greeks, Jews and Armenians, and today is a popular holiday resort. Justin ll, the Byzantine Emperor, had a palace and monastery built for the pleasure of Byzantine princes and then built a convent where the Byzantine empresses were sent into exile. Other buildings you will see are the Agia Yorgi Church and Monastery which was built in the 6th century, the Agios Dimitrios Church, and the Hamidiye Mosque, built by Abdul Hamid ll. With motor cars forbidden on the island, you will travel by phaeton, a new electric-drawn carriage before being served lunch at a fish restaurant. Topkapi Palace, Leander’s Tower, and the Üsküdar District can be seen during the tour. You will return to Istanbul in the evening and transfer to your hotel.

TOPKAPI PALACE, MAIDEN’S TOWER and Üsküdar District will be observed in distance from the boat.
